The popularity of The Child (Baby Yoda) has really taken off. Whether you are a Star Wars fan or not Baby Yoda is adorable and we can’t get enough of him. Today we picked up a couple of the new The Child POPs. The Child With Frog, The Child, and The Child 10 inch. Here is what we thought.

The Child With Frog

The Child With Frog POP showcases one of the most memorable scenes from season one of The Mandalorian. While Baby Yoda is exploring he stumbles upon a frog. Just like any small child, he puts it in his mouth. The Mandalorian tries to stop him but eventually, he swallows the frog.

The Child is dressed in the traditional robe we always see him. The frog is halfway hanging out of The Child’s mouth. The coloring of Baby Yoda is really spot on. The ears and eyes are really well done. Every wrinkle and fold is detailed.

The Child

The Child POP shows The Child standing holding out his hand and using the Force. On the Mandalorian, we have seen The Child go from playful to serious in a flash when the situation calls for it.

The Child POP has great coloring and it detailed down to every wrinkle and fold. The Child’s robe is really spot on too. The wool-like fabric around the neck and sleeves looks gives it a little something extra.

The Child 10 Inch

The Child 10 Inch POP is really something special. It is basically lifesize and really reflects what Baby Yoda would look like if he were real. The POP is the same mold as the smaller version above but on a bigger scale.

The detailing from the smaller version is just amplified in the larger one. The coloring, wrinkles, folds, and clothing have a more realistic look to them because of the size.

Overall Thoughts

We are big fans of Baby Yoda and The Mandalorian. All of these POPs are well done. I like the attention to detail and the fun whimsical look of this character. Everything from the coloring, clothing, and even the wrinkles and folds of his skin are done really well. A lot of POPs are cute but don’t reflect the true essense of the character they are modeled after. All of these POPs feel like Baby Yoda to me.

The only thing I didn’t like about these POPs is the eyes. The eyes on POPs, in general, are just black and have no life to them. The details everywhere else in a way make up for it. All of The Child POPs are available at most major retailers including Amazon.
