REVIEW: Rey Dark Side Vision Black Series Figure

The Rey Dark Side Vision Black Series Figure features Rey as we saw her in a brief scene in The Rise of Skywalker where Rey is on a journey to find the Sith Wayfinder and has a vision she turns to the Dark Side. In the movie, we get to see Daisy Ridley’s iconic character Rey turn to the Dark Side for a brief minute. She is dressed in all black with a hood over her head. In the movies, preview fans were left with a lot of questions after getting a glimpse of Rey as we had never seen her before. The hinged double-bladed red lightsaber still amazes fans.

Facial Details

The Rey Dark Side Vision Black Series Figure is incredibly detailed. The facial scan of Daisy Ridley is far better than the Batuu Rey Black Series Figure that is exclusive to Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge. I was impressed with this level of detail. The make-up, face shape, and expression are spot on.

Figure Clothing

The Rey Dark Side Vision Black Series Figure is wearing a long black Sith robe complete with hood and black cloth cape. The detailing on her outfit is really good but it is made of plastic. I feel like the robe itself could have been made out of stiff fabric. I did like the texturing on the robe and the addition of the black cloth cape.

It’s In The Details

The extra details on the Rey Dark Side Vision Black Series Figure just add to how great this figure is. Rey is wearing a ring on her finger that even though her hand is tiny the ring is detailed enough to see the criss cross band and a small stone in the middle.

The lightsaber is one of the coolest things about this figure. The hinge effect from the movie is featured on this lightsaber. The double red blades just add to the Sith look of the figure. I was also impressed that the hilt fit nicely in Rey’s hand. Sometimes trying to get the lightsaber or another accessory to fit in a figure’s hand is hard but this figure didn’t have that problem.

I liked this figure a lot. I really enjoyed the facial scan update from the Batuu Rey figure. I know we don’t get to see much of this scene in The Rise of Skywalker but it always stayed with me. I’m not a huge fan of Rey and I know that isn’t a popular opinion but seeing her embrace the dark side and hold the red double-bladed lightsaber is a special treat for me. This figure captures that moment and gives fans a different look at Rey.
