The Mandalorian Season 2 Release Date Revealed

Announced this morning on Twitter, The Mandalorian Season 2 release date is now official! If COVID-19 didn’t cancel your Halloween plans this year, Disney+ sure will as the episodes of Season 2 of The Mandalorian begin streaming on Friday, October 30th, 2020.

No Trailer…Yet

Many expected The Mandalorian Season 2 release date to be revealed as part of a trailer drop, but that didn’t happen this morning. Instead, we just got a new logo art piece featuring The Mandalorian and The Child (Baby Yoda). A trailer was also expected this past weekend as it would have been Star Wars Celebration, but the event was cancelled as part of the effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Rumors persist that the trailer is coming soon, but is delayed as Disney was unhappy with the quality of it. Those are just rumors though, so we’re not putting much into them. Now that the release date has been revealed, we expect a trailer drop very, very soon.

Weekly Release Schedule

As Disney+ has continued its plan of adding one episode a week for almost every new series, we expect season 2 of The Mandalorian to continue that trend. Without the quirks of last year’s platform launch and the release of Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, every episode should release on Fridays. Episodes typically go live between 12 am and 3 am Eastern, but that is completely up to Disney+.
