Galaxy’s Edge Achievement Pins Now Available
Disney has taken the Disney Play App to a galaxy far, far away by allowing guests to earn digital achievements and datapad achievement pins for experiencing some attractions and shows in and around Galaxy’s Edge. There are currently three Star Wars datapad achievement pins in Galaxy’s Edge and one that can be earned on the Star Tours attraction.
How Do I Use the Disney Play App?
These pins are a great way to remember your Galaxy’s Edge experience after you leave Batuu for your home planet. Galaxy’s Edge has its own special function inside the Disney Play app called the datapad. Guests can use the datapad to play games, answer trivia, spy for the Resistance or the First Order, and collect datapad achievement pins along with the digital versions. All you have to do is simply log in, opt into Bluetooth and Location Services, and ride or watch the attractions featuring these achievements.
Once the qualifying achievement has been earned and unlocked in the app, travelers just show the digital achievement screen to a cast member to purchase the pin at participating locations. The Play app is free to download in the Apple or Google Play App stores. The app also features games, trivia, and other interactive elements that families can enjoy while in line for various attractions or while exploring the land.
Do I Get the Achievement Right Away?
We have had mixed experiences with the Play app. Most of the time as soon as we get off an attraction the app notifies us we earned an achievement. Other times we didn’t receive the achievement until days later. Our suggestions for this issue are to try the following:
- Closing the app and re-opening it
- Turning off your phone and restarting it
- Be patient and give the app time to recognize your achievement
If you are still having issues with earning the achievement the app allows you to give it to yourself by double-tapping on the achievement image.

Flight of the Falcon
Where can I earn it?: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
The Flight of the Falcon pin is earned after successfully flying the Millennium Falcon for the first time on one of Hondo Ohnaka’s smuggling runs. You do not need to do a specific job or get a specific score to earn this pin. All you have to do in enjoy the ride for the first time.

Hero of the Resistance
Where can I earn it?: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
The Hero of the Resistance pin is earned after avoiding capture by the First Order and successfully helping the resistance make it safely back to Batuu. This pin features an Imperial Star Destroyer and the escape pod vehicle highlighted on the Rise of the Resistance.

Black Spire Explorer
Where can I earn it?: Batuu
The Black Spire Explorer pin is earned after exploring Batuu for the first time. This pin features one of the most popular Star Wars droids BB-8. BB-8 is exploring Batuu on the pin. All you have to do to earn this pin is enter Galaxy’s Edge and enjoy exploring.

Star Tourist
Where can I earn it?: Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
The Star Tourist pin is the only one that is not available in Galaxy’s Edge. You earn this pin by avoiding capture by the Dark Side on the Star Tours attraction. This pin features the ever-popular C-3PO, who is also your captain on the ride.

Available for purchase at Tatooine Traders outside of the ride.
