“New” Force Guidance Kyber Crystals Come to Galaxy’s Edge

Galaxy’s Edge has new kyber crystals…sort of. Known by fans as the 8-Ball crystals, both the Jedi and Sith Force Guidance kyber crystals are now packaged separately at Galaxy’s Edge.

New Label

Force Guidance Kyber Crystal with Darth Vader artwork

The Force Guidance kyber crystals feature a new package design marking them as different from the standard crystal. Both have gold end caps instead of the standard silver. The Sith crystal features Darth Vader, while the Jedi crystal uses Yoda on the label.

What is a Force Guidance Kyber Crystal?

These crystals were previously known by fans as 8-Balls because of their similarity to the classic Magic 8-Ball toy. When placed in a holocron, Darth Vader or Yoda will utter a response to a question instead of a random line from the films or TV shows. This effectively turns your holocron into a Jedi 8-Ball. While not exactly a mind-blowing feature, their previous random placement amongst the regular kyber crystals made the green and red crystals highly sought after. While the hunt for the infamous black crystal will keep reds in high demand, those looking for just a regular Yoda or Qui-Gon Jinn green crystal may have better luck now.

Find them at Dok’s

Force Guidance Kyber Crystals are available at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities for $14.99 each, same as the standard kyber crystal. They are set aside from the main display as a group but are still found next to the holocrons. Crystals are no longer behind the counter at Dok’s as they’ve been replaced by legacy lightsabers.
