NEW LEGO Star Wars Helmets Announced

On Tuesday, March 17th, LEGO announced a set of three Star Wars-themed buildable helmets to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back’s theatrical release. The helmets retail for $59.99 each. Fans will be able to show their loyalty to the Empire with these (mostly) Darkside themed helmets featuring the infamous bounty hunter Boba Fett, a TIE fighter pilot, and a stormtrooper. The sets will become available for purchase on April 19th but are now available for pre-order on LEGO.com.

The helmet sets are designed to challenge even the best Jedi builders. All the helmets come with a bespoke base plate and name plaque for displaying at home, the office, or in a galaxy far, far away.

Paying tribute to the infamous bounty hunter everyone loves to hate, the helmet is modeled after a traditional Mandalorian helmet. Complete with a moveable antenna. Boba Fett has always been one of the most popular villains of the Star Wars Universe. The model stands at 9 inches (22 cm) tall and is the largest of the new sets.

LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet

Recreate the iconic look of these Imperial pilots, who fly the coolest ships in the galaxy. I can already hear the screech of the TIE fighter now. The helmet has several interesting features such as the Empire symbol and the distinctive breathing hoses. This detailed model is 7 inches (19 cm) tall.

LEGO Star Wars Stormtrooper Helmet

Show your allegiance to the Empire by celebrating its iconic ground forces with this helmet. Stormtroopers are one of the most recognizable characters from the Star Wars Universe with their iconic white helmets and not so great blaster skills.  This striking model stands at 7 inches (19 cm) tall.

These helmets are relatable to fans of all ages from every corner of the globe. They really appeal to fans of the original trilogy. It’s nice to see LEGO embrace the original films and feature characters that usually do not get the spotlight. LEGO has even made the packaging of these sets eye-catching. All of the sets’ boxes feature live-action shots of the characters as they appear in the films beside a shot of the LEGO helmet. LEGO never lets us down with their innovative ideas and attention to detail. These helmets are no exception.
