Batuu 101: Creature Stall
The Creature Stall located inside the Market is where you can discover and adopt exotic creatures and critters from around the galaxy. The cute pet shop themed store features a center display cage housing an animatronic loth-cat. You may just come to Batuu and leave with a new galactic pet.
Location
The Creature Stall is located in the Black Spire Market across from the Toydarian Toymaker. If you are coming from the entrance of Batuu the Market is just past the X-wing to the left. If you are coming from the Black Spire Outpost area the Creature Stall is up the stair past the Millennium Falcon. To the right is Docking Bay 7 and to the left is Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. Just past Dok-Ondar’s to the right is Ronto Roasters, which is the entrance to the Market.
The Atmosphere
The Creature Stall is filled with crates featuring various exotic animals from around the galaxy. It is the perfect stop to find rare galactic creatures such as baby tauntauns, porgs, loth-cats, puffer pigs, and Kowakian monkey-lizards. The Kowakian monkey-lizard has it’s own separate stall outside of the main creature stall. The store features a total of 3 animatronic animal displays. A lot of the animals located in the store make noises and move.
What Can You Buy?
Porg Puppet: $49.99 – The porg is soft and plushy, very much like a stuffed animal. The porg’s wings flap, its mouth opens, and it makes noise. Porg’s are sea-dwelling birds. They are native to the planet Ahch-to, where Luke Skywalker made his exile.
Loth-Cat: $49.99 – The loth-cat is soft to the touch but not plushy. The loth-cat purs, makes cat-like noises, hisses, and makes angry noises with an eyebrow lift if you squeeze its tail. Loth-cats are native to the planet Lothal, they are often found in the grassy plains of the outer rim planet.
Kowakian monkey-lizard: $69.99 – The Kowakian monkey-lizard comes in two colors blue/yellow and brown. This creature is a lot like the Banshee from Pandora. It can sit on your shoulder with a shoulder magnet, it’s head moves, it laughs, it can open and close its mouth, and its arms and legs are posable. The most famous monkey-lizard is Salacious B. Crumb, who was employed as a court jester by Jabba the Hutt. He is known for his piercing laugh and sadistic sense of humor in Return of the Jedi.
The Story
The Creature stall is operated by Bina, who keeps the store filled with creatures that she has collected from around the galaxy.
Travelers to Batuu are able to go home with a variety of galactic creatures. All of the creatures in the Creature Stall come with a carrying crate for safe travel back you your home planet.
