It was announced today that publishing house Del Rey is publishing a new Mandalorian focused original novel. To add to that effort Marvel and IDW Publishing have announced new Mandalorian comics coming soon.

What We Think

The Mandalorian-inspired comics are not titled yet but we suspect they might do two-mini series. We think they will do one mini-series to tie into the Mandalorian Disney+ TV series and another mini-series as part of the Star Wars Adventures series. We will have to wait for the official announcement to be sure.

Other Publications to Look For

Also announced are magazines, novelty, and coloring/activity titles from Titan, Studio Fun, Crayola, Thunder Bay Press, Disney Publishing Worldwide, ad Dreamtivity. Younger bounty hunters can also look forward to a Little Golden Book and a Screen Comix retelling of Season One.

Release Date

We do not have an official release date for the Mandalorian comics publishing program. We do know that the novels and children’s books will release starting this fall, with releases planned through the winter and spring.

Season 1 of The Mandalorian is currently streaming on Disney+. Season 2 is expected in October, 2020.
